Red Corris Wrasse concern....

The Red Corris Wrasse burries itself in the gravel to sleep every night. Ocassionally it will not come out for a day. It was gone for two days, so I went looking for him when I changed water today.

Fortunately he was alive. Unfortunately he seems to be having some gastronomical blockage issues. I tried to help a little by physically pulling out the offending bit, but right now he is just sitting on the bottom of the tank and not even bothering to re-burry himself. I have the feeling that his system has taken too much damage, and that I am on fish death watch. I'm sad and bummed. I will probably not be able to sleep tonight.

The Granite

Just in case you were wondering if the Granite is real or not, here is a kitchen pic.

Life is in the Way.

The new tank project will start soon, so just hang in there.....

I have a lot of things in the works, so the new glass box for making money vanish just has not been a priority...

Got to start collecting equipment

I am a little stuck on how to configure the equipment for circulation. I know that i need a absolute minimum of 10x tank turnover with about 200 gallons of total tank volume including a 55 gallon sump. So 2,000 gph(gallons per hour). I would also like current that moves around such as with a SCWD, although the scwd has a maximum of 1400 gph, so a 2000gph pump will blow out a scwd. Perhaps (2) 1,000 gpd pumps? But there are heat and power usage problems. I also do not want to drill a hole for an external pump.

Any Ideas?
